I'm not really new.. I've been messing around with the program for years now but I've never really got into it. Just made a few graphics here and there. But I always did things the hard way. I was wondering if any of you advanced people out there could give me some hints on where to start, what to learn about, how to make things easier on myself. I am dedicated this time and am determined to learn. Please anything helps. Thanks.

for me, it was just always having projects i wanted to complete. that way, i'd have to learn new things in order to do what i wanted... also, just search the web for tutorials, and do them. familiarize yourself with the program. just keep using it, and you learn more and more stuff as you go... yah... keep doing what you're doing... practice! (generic answer)

First and foremost - Read the Manual from cover to cover. Get a list of available shortcuts and learn them. When you are more advanced you can make your own. Copy, Steal and Copy - just do it, (however never show this work to anyone, just keep it to emulate and practice technique then throw it away) Learn an area or function of PS a week. |

There are good books out there, go to a book store, have a seat and flip through some pages, one of my favorites is New Masters of Photoshop, they address design as well as PS. It is for intermediate users.
