How to get an outline on a shape

I am sure this is easy, but I can't figure out how to do it. How do you get the 1 pixel edge on a shape, kind of like a bevel. An example would be the grey rectangles at bluemetal.com . I want that slight edge on the top and left boarder only. thanks
