Using the tutorial on page 2 of Animated Text in PS (using 6.0), I am not getting the desired result. Ctr/Alt click on the line between the text and image layer only results in dancing ants around text. It does not cut the image as in your example. If the cursur is place low I get: Group with previous (in history); if it is placed evenly on the line I get Load selection. I should know how to cut it myself, but can't remember. I'll work on it til I hear from somebody. Thanks. |

To do it manually, just select the image layer, Load the selection in the text layer (CTRL+Click) and just copy and paste into a new layer (CTRL+C, CTRL+V). Then just delete the image layer and the text layer you're left with whatever you'd be left with after you merge the layers together.

Yes, that will work. Thanks. But, of course, I'm still curious why it didn't work the way the tutorial stated. That would sure be quicker!

It'd take 2 to 4 seconds tops.
