need help on a photo

i have a huge problem. i recently upgraded to 10.2 on a clean drive. i though i had everything backed up but, i didnt and the jpg on my site is all i have left besides the original photo. my particular problem is that i dont remember how i did this. i know that i used a marquee and inverted the selection, but i dont know about the rest. i thought i mite have been offset but it didnt work. anyone have any ideas?here it is
