how does pixelsurgeon get their colors to fade so well?pixelsurgeon i always get bars of color. maybe cuz im using fireworks??:( |

Are you talking about the gradients? Is the color on your computer set to 32-bit instead of 16-bit? If it's 16, you will have banding. With 32 you shouldn't. If that's not it, don't save gradients as a .GIF file. Gifs are limited to 256 colors, so they don't handle complex gradients that well. If you are saving a gradient, use a jpeg. That may be why you're getting banding in fireworks. If you can, seperate the gradient and save as a jpeg, then save any other more simple parts of the image as gif. It's hard to say without seeing the image you're talking about. |
