I have a chrome logo and need to add a chiseled effect on it, with small fragments popping out of it. I need to get the effect of metal being soldered with a blow torch. Can anyone help me

hmm as with all things PS there are numerous ways to go about it. Perhaps it would help if I can outline the simplest (note: not always the best) way to go about it. Add a bevel and emboss layer style to the Chrome and then change the style (in B&B options box) from inner bevel/outer bevel etc... to Chisel Hard - that should take care of the chisel part For the fragmemts you could use the polygonal lasso tool to make the fragment and promote them to new layers to make the faragments. The solder would seem to be the hardest part - perhaps making a solder shaped, shape, would help initially and then applying an outer bevel and emboss layer stlye - also to get more of a silvery look, changing the curves might produce a more naturalistic solder picture. |
