How do I create rusty blood/blood stains?

Hii

I would like to make some old rusty blood that's dripping down a panel. I found a tutorial on another site but it didn't really fit my needs.

And also I saw this great pix

and wondered if any one had an idea how to make the sphere with the shadows and blood stains.

Search for some Blood tutorials for Photoshop on Google, and I am pretty sure that is rendered in some 3d program. You can make something similar, but wouldnt look as realistic, in photoshop.
