Hi guys: I have a question: I just scanned a transparency in my EPSON 2450. It came out with some curves like a rainbow, I don't know how it is called. Is there any way to remove that without affecting the texture of the photograph? (these curves show over a piece of fabric and I really wanna keep the texture of the fabric). Thanks |

Ok, I already know. I was referring to a problem called Newton's rings and happens in the scanning process. To avoid it you should put the emulsion side down.

Sounded like moire to me - there are many ways to try and decrease the striations, including converting it to LAB. Try www.retouchpro.com for solid direction. Also a picture of the area affected would be of help in diagnosing the problem.
