pulling the pixels of an image help |

I'm not really sure what this is called. But i've seen pictures where the edge of the image is stretched. It's stretched so that only the pixel on the edge of the image is duplicated and it sort of forms streaks of different colors. I'm sorry i can't give an example cause i can't think of where i can find it. Thanks!! |

Very easy. Open an image, take the Single Column Marque Tool, click somwhere in your image, do Edit>Define Pattern, give it a name. Then make a new layer, take the paint bucket, Take "pattern" as Fill type in the drop down menu and select the pattern you just made. Then fill the image.

An easier way without making a pattern is to use the single column marquee tools then press Ctrl+T to free transform it, then set the width and/or drag it outwards. Good Christian's method is perfectly valid, but it's a bit of a pain to make extra patterns for one effect. |
