How did they do this?

I was just wondering if you think this was made in photoshop?
I love stuff like this, and can't figure out how it is done. If anyone could help me figure this out, I would really appreciate it. Thanks

Most of it was done in photoshop. Except for probably the left object(s) that look three dimensional. Most likely, the stuff on the left was rendered in some 3D program like lightwave or maya, and the resulting abstract was composited into a new graphic in photoshop where they added in all the other lines, text, and other small bits.
