Hi, I stubled upon this pic and was wondering how they did the blue part in the middle, if anyone knows how or can point me to a tutorial or anything, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

Hi This is not Psp work i can promise you. it can be obtained by blending modes and some psp effect but you wont get this quality of rendering. try 3dmax,maya or pov ray to do it. shay |

the blue bit he could be asking about might be the 2D chrome effect. Here's a brief way on how to do it, Alter it yourself for better results .... 1. create a chrome effect - possibly using the green slime action in Photoshop. 2. Change the hue/saturation of the image to be blue. 3. Adjust the brightness levels (adjusting curves is optional). 4. Use the liquify filter. 5. Use the same technique if you want the orangey bits. (below are optional) 6. Place an image of choice behind the blue part. 7. Change the opacity of the blue layer to show some of the below image. or change the layer blending modes. The character is the only part their that is externally made (possibly in 3DS Max, or even drawn by hand then put through a vector program). Hope that helps |
