Can someone tell me how to do the nice looking color overlays kind of like the color overlay lightblue thing they did for this banner on this page http://www.schroet.com/ (the banner) ^_^ thnx

Well... welcome to the boards first off... and to answer your question it looks like the just took the SK and change the blending mode to "Screen" of "Overlay"

I was gonna say the same thing, some simple scanlines and a layer using an overlay effect. Or you could use the hue/saturate to do it.

i suck with photoshop obviously... :( look ...i have very few skillz and have problems combining them to make stuff haha

thats not to bad man, how long haev you been using photoshop? it's not easy to become good! only a few here are very good! the rest is just average or a little above that!

thnx...umm ive been using photoshop for awhile but just on and off every time I decide to make a new site. I always see these battles and Ive seen some really amazing pictures and wanted to do stuff like that.........Im not sure if these people go to classes or have friends help them....I just played with Photoshop and used a couple tutorials here and there! Someone take me in and teach me!!! :p Peace

hey brian, I moved your thread. Please post in the right section, you asked a question ---> thats either: new to photoshop help-section, or advanced photoshop help-section.

And can you please use a bit more specific thread-titles? Like:
color overlay help instead of: I need Some Photoshop Help Plz!!
