scan lines

ok when i got make scan lines i make a line across take the clone tool clone it as a patter and when i goto the bucket and select pattern i cant find it. can someone tell me if im doing it right if not plz tell me how you do it. thanx

Umm, you shouldn't be using the clone stamp at all.
