Path Palette?

" After preparing the path, all you need to do is create the selection by clicking on the "Load path as selection"
button which is located at the Path Palette."

Were is the "path palette"?

Generally the Paths Palette is grouped with the Layers Palette and the Channels Palette. If it's not presently visible on your desktop enable it from the Window Menu at the top of your screen. Window---»Show Paths.

Now, crack those Help Files open and/or explore a little more!
