Hi all! I'm a total newb who plans to make 3d web comics with Curious Labs Poser. I recently bought Photoshop 7 and planned to use it to format comics panels. I haven't been able to find tutorials that focus on this specific issue. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks |

well....you can be practical and learn each thing seperately....get familiar with making the movements for the poser characters, then move on to designing your characters unique clothing using a UV Mapper stand-alone and photoshop. And comic panels don't require much skill..... here's two ways you could make them.... click the rectangular selector/marquee tool, click and drag the size of the panel you want...create a new layer if you haven't all ready...fill the selection in the colour you want for your border, then click select->Modify->contract and put in a value of about 1-5 pixels....i recommend 2pixels. then the selection will get smaller, and just simply press delete or you could...... click the custom shapes tool, (optional but recommended: click the "fill pixels" button at the top,[ the square that doesn't have points/squares in the corner]) then draw the shape.once it's drawn ctrl + click on the layer to select it, then click select->modify->contract etc. ( read the above for the rest) I hope that helps... |
