RGB-codes... do you know other forums?

Does someone know other Forums where I can post this question?

How could i get the rgb-code of every pixel from a certain picture-file.
I'm putting them into a database.
like this:
e.g. ( pixel 1/row 1 = #000000 ),(etc.) every pixel of the file !!

So far I only could rip the picture into pixel-files. I converted a picture-file into thousands of little 8Kb tiff's (with AppleScript).

I'm looking for an automated way to get the rgb-codes. Can't be that hard...
