Get list with rgbcode from every pixel of file ?

How could i get the rgb-code of every pixel from a certain picture-file.
I'm putting them into a database.
like this:
e.g. ( pixel 1/row 1 = #000000 ),(etc.) every pixel of the file !!

You could zoom in 1600% and take a sample of each pixel, row by row, pixel by pixel. I don't know another method. What do you need to know this for?

I'm making a shockwave/3D presentation of a shelf with 579 books. Each book has 500 pages. 289280 pages in total. Every PAGE on the shelf is a different pixel of the image. Yes, the books contains only 1 image.

So far I only could rip the picture into pixel-files. I converted a picture-file into thousands of little 8Kb tiff's (with AppleScript). I'm looking for an automated way to get the rgb-codes. Can't be that hard!!
