I wanna make a picture that I have look like an old pin-ups style photo.... anybody know of any tutorials? I searched on google, but came up with nothing. You know what pin0ups are, or should I post some sort of pic? I wasn't sure if there is someway I could do this with out having to just airbrush the whole picture....... thanks guys! |

You could do a few things I'd suggest a nice simple way to first cut around the 'character' in the image, copy and paste over the original so u got 2 layers, the original and the cut out of the character. Then gaussian blur the bottom layer (thats the original) by about 2.5. Now that might give you a clean hard edge to the character cut-out so a light smudge of the edges would fix that. Next merge all the layers duplicate the finished layer, desat (so it goes black and white) goto variations and play around with the colors I'd suggest reds and yellows - then set the blending option to HUE over the 'original' and it should give u the desired effect - if u want that smooth 'hazy' look try gaussian blurring this layer again by about 2.5 and set it to softlight and adjust the opcaity. Hope that makes sense. |

Sorry, the pic I posted is a pin-up, I wanna make a photo look like that! Thanks anyway, I appreciate the reply! Mynros, That sounds great, and seems like it may work!!! I am gonna give it a try tomorrow! Thanks a whole bunch!!!! I will let you know how it turns out!! |
