So im wondering i am new tto this community, and would just like to say i love this website layout it's SWEET. But anyways on your main page. you have photoshop tutorials. Are they for 7.0? Cuz ive tried doing a few of them but where you say to go, and do.My options arent there and when they are mine don't turn out good results. I know some tuts say for 6.0 of photoshop, and NO i didn't try those tuts. So main question are the photoshop tutorials for 7.0? Found here. http://www.teamphotoshop.com/photoshop/tutorials/ps_tut.php http://www.teamphotoshop.com/photoshop/tutorials/ps_tut_text.php http://www.teamphotoshop.com/photoshop/tutorials/ps_tut_techniques.php Thankx for the help if i get any. The ones for 6 should work no problem for 7, there are a few things that got moved around and some new additions to 7, but overall they are very similar. some changes I noticed: Liquify got moved to the Filter drop down list on 7 The brush dialogue changed - Editing is not as obvious, they added some features, like Flow (which may have been in 6 but I dont remember it=\ ) They added the Healing brush. But overAll you should not have any problem getting PS 6 tutorials to work on PS 7 Others may have some knowledge of more changes I forgot to mention. |

Hmm ive got a question ive done a tutorial off another site, and it says:? Create a new 72 dpi, RGB image.? I understand what the RGB is for. Red Green Blue Image. And im thinking that 72 dpi is a code name for NEW FILE, with a reasonable size? If not tell me right guys lol. And by the way Good Christian your tutorials probably work.Might not work for me though, cuz i try to just go faster then what i can, and mess alot of info by doing that. *SLAPZ HIMSELF FOR SKIPPING INFO* |

DPI = The resolution value in the New Image window.

....and remember DPI stands for Dots Per Inch, and Monitors read in PPI, Pixels Per Inch. Sometimes people mix the two up, but what the tutorial probably means is PPI. 72 is standard monitor pixel resolution.
