I remember that a while back, I used to create a shape such as in the following example. It has been more than a year since I have made it therefore I have no clue how I used to do it. I believe that it would work wonders in my current project, so I would appreciate any help. The following image is an example of the shape, it is the grey part of the image. http://www.breakdownnews.com/images/shape.gif Thanks. |

I would use the pen tool :D I think you could also make a 3 pointed star and then apply the twirl filter. |

When I try and apply the twirl filter, it never works correctly. As in it never is applied symmetrically. Any help? |

Umh you have to make sure your shape is in the middle of your work space and also that the edges of your shape don't touch the edges of it. First make a new image 400x400 or bigger Make your 3 pointed star on it, make sure it's symmetrical Center it by doing Select All and then Ctrl-X and then Ctrl-V. If your shape touches the edges make it smaller (at least 30% smaller), otherwhise the points of your shape won't bend nicely. Make sure nothing is selected and apply the twirl filter. Just experiment with the values. Hope this helps. |
