I am using photoshop 6.0 with a HP Color laserjet 4550. The problem is what ever colors I see in my screen are not the colors that comes out of the printer. some times I need to print several copies to adjust the colors is photoshop, which makes the work VERY tedius and much more difficult. Could any one tell me how to adjust the color settings in photoshop so it would match what the printer can do? Many Thanks, TCPIP |

You have to unserstand then a printer and a monitor are 2 difernt things... This mean than it is normal than the color as not so acurate... If you do a lot of print you shouls use Adobe RGB in your color profil. configure the whole profile for prespress. try to chose your color from a CMYK color slider (not rgb)this should give you more printable color. Also if you do image in 300dpi (for print) it may be a good idea to print on higt quaity paper, color will be brither!!! Avrything you do here will only give you a better results, not a perfect match. |

This is a subject that can't easily be covered in a message post on a forum. The topic of color management is a pretty large one to say the least. If you're serious about accurately producing color across different devices I would suggest reading some of the tons of information available on the Internet for starters. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=photoshop+%2Bcolor+%2Bmanagement |
