Help! I am new to photoshop and need a basic question answered. I have a photo with shine (to much flash) on nose and cheeks. How do I replace this area with color from another area? Thanks |

I once took out excessive amounts of white in a photo using image --> adjustments --> selective color, and chose white, then took a little of the white out. Worked pretty good. There are probably a lot more methods. You might try adjusting the threshold a bit. |

You want to use the clone tool. This takes some practice and playing around with. But you choose a selection area with Alt-click, set the brush size and opacity, and then brush over the destination area. Use small strokes. Also experiment with different blending modes. If you have any more questions, ask. Good luck. |

Yeah, you can also use the select --> color selection (select color) and choose the color that you have the shine on.... Then make a new layer, fill that layer with another color that is a little less bright, blur it a bit adjust the opacity (might only need a few %)and the blending modes. Might find one that fits perfectly.
