Help! I am new to photoshop and need a basic question answered. I have a photo with shine (to much flash) on nose and cheeks. How do I replace this area with color from another area? Thanks |

I once took out excessive amounts of white in a photo using image --> adjustments --> selective color, and chose white, then took a little of the white out. Worked pretty good. There are probably a lot more methods. You might try adjusting the threshold a bit. |

You want to use the clone tool. This takes some practice and playing around with. But you choose a selection area with Alt-click, set the brush size and opacity, and then brush over the destination area. Use small strokes. Also experiment with different blending modes. If you have any more questions, ask. ![]() |

Yeah, you can also use the select --> color selection (select color) and choose the color that you have the shine on.... Then make a new layer, fill that layer with another color that is a little less bright, blur it a bit adjust the opacity (might only need a few %)and the blending modes. Might find one that fits perfectly.
