i recently found this picture http://www.torn.be/kisaragi/circuits.jpg I was wondering ... the numbers can be made with blending options and a mask to fade the numbers out to 'infinity'. But the rays are tricky, does anyone here have any hints? a tutorial on how to make rays like that ? They don't have to look the same way, they just have to be cool. (im looking for a tutorial other than the one with the difference clouds > invert > levels etc.) Tnx! |

Here is something I whipped up real quick as an example: http://www.photoshopjunkie.com/host/ps_electric_ie.jpg All I did for the electricity was make a straight 10px wide white line. Then applied a slight Wave (Filters - Distort - Wave) then duplicated that layer and Gaussian blurred it and applied a light blue outerglow tint. Then just merged the layers and trasnformed it to make it a tad skinnier. Then applied it to this brick background as an example of lighting. A background that you can make highlights on really makes the electric look stand out. |

Just double click on the layer, or go: Layer - Layer Style - Outerglow http://www.photoshopjunkie.com/host/outerglow.gif |
