I'm wondering how to align a layer to a path I've created using the Pen tool; I'm using Photoshop 6, and I think it is able to do that, but I may be mistaken. Any help would be greatfully appreciated.

Aligning a layer to a path. You mean as in having pixels from one layer distort/wrap along the edges of a vector path, correct? This cannot be done in plain vanilla photoshop. There may be a plug-in that is capable, but nothing built-in. This is because Adobe has this function built into Adobe Illustrator and wants you to buy that product in order to be able to do that. The effect is called "envelope distort" in Illustrator, and its really awesome. Works with both raster and vector objects. And you can export out the warped graphic to Photoshop. But again. PS can't do it without either a plug-in or Illustrator's help. |
