What are those things? Tools in photoshop?

I aint no expert using photoshop but i Believe it could have be done with a trace bitmap. You get that option using flash. Goto Modify-traceBitmap since I see it´s not rasterized, it´s in a vector form. I don´t know how to do it using photoshop but it´ll work with an original scan or picture in a pixel form and transformed to a Vector.

in photoshop the closest thing is: (one way at least, if I did it.)

Image --> adjustments --> Posterize (its down on the bottom of the list.)

It won't be a vector image, but it kind of gives it that effect.

or maybe by changing the levels of the original image

To the best of my knowledge, if you use threshold, it'll return the affected image with certain areas of varying contrasts filled with pure black, and just edit the result to your liking.

I'd attempt it, but the PCs at my high school are quite outdated and have a non-working copy of Photoshop 5.5 (the icon is there, but the program is not installed. Why? I don't know).

If I remember to try it and feel like doing so I'll attempt it from home.

!mo0chan! there is a possibility that the program is on a server and it has been moved or something, in which case they'd need to make new shortcuts....
