ok, this is more a question to be responded to than a plea for help, figured this was the best place for it. in the things you find yourself doing day-to-day for whatever you use photoshop for, what are some things you find yourself repeatedly running into that you'd either like to know how to do or could use an easy reference for instead of having to mess with it and figure out how to do it? i'm doing some research into writing something and could use the input. thanks. chris |

I'd say common (for lack of a better word) tricks. Like when you have a heavily layered file and you want to get a clean/flat copy of just part of it. You can zoom in and make your selection, then make sure you have the background or similar large area layer active, hit Ctrl/shift/C and copy the entire selection instead of just the one layer. I use that a lot. I forget and wish I remembered how to combine layers with layer modes applied. Like sometimes when you have a color dodge layer above a normal layer and you merge the two it changes how the layer looks because the layer modes are mixed. Stuff like that I find very useful |

Every day i have to scan lots of printed photos from album (usualy legums and flowers) and i hate the raster point(i realy hate it). Every time i must loock over the separation channles and aply gaussian blur to "lose" that point. I hate that when i do that i lose the clarity of the picture. Another thing that i do every day is finding the right white (black or gray) of the picture. I think the best option adobe made is Curves and later clone tool. So as a concluzion Gaussian Blur is my every day "work"... Adrian. |
