Hi. Can anyone help me with the effects in the top-left of this site: http://www.eve-online.com/? I'd like to be explained how to do them step by step if possible. I really like them and I'd like to be able to do it.

Are those lines in that image on the link given above easy to make? ive been messing around all afternoon in photoshop and can't seem to gett hat effect with the lines throught the pic.

ok, here's a 15 minute experiment:



the real key to this sort of look is using blurred layers with the color dodge blending mode. download the PSD here if you want to see how it went together. hope that helps.
