I wasn't sure where I'd put something like this, but I'd like to know how to do something like this. Mainly I want to know how to do the particle effects (I can pretty much figure out how to do the majority of the other stuff) and where I nice tutorial would be that could show me how.

...yes, and it's seriously difficult to achieve. Its done by applying a texture on a light/lights and stuff....my closets attempt would be http://cyblingdesign.com/images/swirly.jpg ...and i've been doing 3D full blown for 2 years |

Try making rounded shapes with one side blurred. Duplicating them and spinning and resizing them over each other in the formation you want. Make sure these shapes are white. Apply an outer glow to them with colour set to white (or whatever bright colour you like), blending mode (for the outer glow) to overlay. If that isn't enough make some more randm shapes similar to the first ones and duplicate and resize them and place them on and around your original shapes and try the blending modes overly, softlight, screen and colour dodge. I'll try to put my closest thing to an example up later. |
