You should but-it at a book store, not used version...

The reason, it should include the form and a rebate to pass the exam, since they can only be used once, you may save on the price of the book, but if you buy from a store it will cost you less on the end!

Ya know, trying to skate your way into getting a good grade on the ACE exams is crap. Spend the money, learn the stuff and do it properly. If this is what you really want, and you can't afford it on your own, ask your parents, ask your brother or sister, ask your grandparents, ask counselers at your school...but PLEASE....get to that goal the way YOU KNOW you should. When you do, not only will you have officialk certification, but you'll have the knowledge to back it up.

How would you feel if a guy like me (43 years old, been in the imaging and print business forever) was looking to fill in a few gaps in my knowledge by taking a class from a "Certified ACE Professional" like you...and you came to the queasy and uneasy realization that I knew tons more than you did?

You'd feel like an idiot, and I'd be asking for, AND GETTING. my money back.

That would suck.

Learn it, do it, don't scrimp on spending money or time...if you wanna really do this, make the investment. Don't lie to yourself about what it takes to achieve the goal.

Hi

Thanks for your advice.

I was thinking that if the employer looking for a Photoshop designer and he will see in my resume that I am an ACE it’ll be a big advantage for me. And the ACE exam test you in many espects you might think that you know already.

And second…I’ll feel more secure about my photoshop knowladge if I’ll become an ACE.

Your words gave me food for thoughts.
Thanks Shay

If you are applying to a job, i can guarantee that they will look at your work, not at the white sheet of paper with your miniscule details. Some may, that's why you include it, but only to see if you have a cert/diploma/degree in art or some other course. Do you have a qualification in art?

Well your better get some... These will worth much more than an ACE paper sheet! Boos want someone who makes studies in design not only in Photoshop... They want a designer not a technician!

The problem with the Ace type of qualification is than it only look on the technical side... you can be an expert at Photoshop... yet lack the idea!

There is more to design than the software...

Hi

I used to think just like you guys.i obtained work and I been paid for my artwork wtihout being an ACE and without even look in the help files. Only by playing with the software end expressing my talent.

Now after learning the software deeply I’m sure that I can express my talent 1000 times more queckly and efficiantly than ever.

If I’ll becone a boss and you apply to designer position. First thing I’ll look in your resume is ACE degree, after thatt I’ll look for your talent, if you miss one of the above, I’ll move the the next one.

Ace degree I something you can buy,but talent is a gift from god.
