Colour sweeps on TP site

How were the various different colour "sweeps" () done? I think that they're rediculously cool but I have very little idea of how to do them this well.

Im not sure but i think its just alot of airbrushing, smudging, some filters here and there, but im not really sure how its done... but... Pank is the man, and im sure he would be willing to share the secret with you for the right price (like sidez said) ;)

Isn't there a power of a 3d program? I don't know...did he mentioned is ps only?
