need step by step tut to remove background

i have a image with a dog on it and a background of cours.i want to remove the original background with a with or something background how do u do that .pleas help

well, you can go to filter, extract. then use the highliter to outline the part you want to keep. then fill that part in. click preview to see if you like how it came out. if you do click ok, then touch it up with the eraser tool.

Or, you could grab the magic wand tool, select the bkg and press delete on your keyboard.
