how to remove background |

hi there i have little problem i want remove the original background of a image and put like a black backgroun for further editing dos anyone know how that is possible i kinda knew to photoshop!! |

There are a few ways to do it. If you are new to photoshop, then this will be quite a learning lesson for you so I would try all these methods out. One way: Select --> Color Range.... you can adjust the settings in there for the amount of selection you want. Filter --> Extract (on PS 7) PS 6, it's uhm I forgot, but look for the extract tool. Go here for Panks tutorial on using channels for removing the background (this one might be the best.) http://www.teamphotoshop.com/photoshop/tutorials/techniques/selecting/selecting.php also: http://www.teamphotoshop.com/photoshop/tutorials/tools/channelselect/channelselect.php You might need to make adjustments to each, ie, use selection tools, eraser, etc. to clean up areas as needed. Hope this helps. Oh yeah.... make sure you duplicate the original image and always keep a copy of the original.... |
