I came across a tutorial on how to make concentric circles for the purposes of circular scan lines. It involved making a series of horizontal dots in a single line and rotating them through 360degs leaving the concentric circles in place.

I cannot find the tutorial, can anyone help please.

Thanks for the advice, I have been playing around with that filter but both Rectangular to Polar and Polar to Rectangular are only curving the line of dots.

Make sure that your canvas is a perfect square before starting

I don't like using a filter for that..
In photoshop 7 there's an easy way to do it.

First take the Ellipse Tool, in the options menu you see a little square with the pen tool in (sais paths when you put your cursor over it). Hold shift and draw your circle.

Now take the brush tool, pick a round non soft brush and open the brush options tab. Click on brush tip shape and then increase the spacing to eg. 190%.

Now go to the paths menu and stroke the path with the brush. There you have it.

Thanks,

I've got it now. the polar co-ordinates works, my mistake was spacing the lines too closely which gave the illusion that the circles had not been formed (if you know what I mean?).
