do you guys remember the game simon? the one with the 4 colored lights and u have to copy the computer sequence? well i know its pretty old skool but im trying to recreate the light up button effect, but i dont know how to do it or which tutorial to use. does anyone have any ideas as how to achieve this?

Do you mean a mouseover? When you put the mouse over the button it will change to the new color? At least thats how i would do it. Open up image ready |

You can create the four images and then an "over state" with some lighting effect. In the javascript he is just swapping the images like any old roll over effect (pre loading, then changing on roll over.)

yes i know how to make roll overs and all of that......... what i was asking is how to make the light effect look realistic?? |
