In Photoshop 6, I knew how to correct red eyes pretty well. I just use the Circle Marquee tool to select the eyes and I just simply went to the Channels palette, select the Blue channel, CTRL - C to copy it, then went to the Red channel, then pasted it. And my red eyes were removed when I returned to the layers palette after clicking on the RGB channel. I tried the same method in PS 7 and it doesn't seem to work that way anymore. Can anyone tell me a way to remove red eyes in photos with PS 7? Thanks and I appreciate it. |

Well to avoid it, reflect the flash off the wall or a ceiling to avoid direct exposure to the eyes so the light doesn't enter the subject's pupil to reflect back red, which is the color of the blood flowing through your retina. Or light the room so that subject's pupils are narrower. To fix it, you can probably resort to modifying the redeye by selecting it with the marquee then adjusting the Hue/Saturation (CTRL+U) and try to find their eye color using that, and adjust the brightness accordingly as well. |

Thanks for the tip, but a friend of mine took the photo so there is nothing I can do about that. Ok, that works too. Thanks. |

Heres the sure fire way to get rid of red eye...Visine...joking Anyways, heres how... 1. Zoom in to the eyes nice and close. 2. Grab you circular marquee tool and select the red portion of the eye. 3. Go into the green channel (works better then blue) and copy the green channel with your selection 4. Now go into the red channel and voila, no red eye. |

Oh ok, I figured out the problem. I can't do it if the layer has a mask on it. lol And the way I stated the 1st works if anyone else want to know how to remove red eyes in photos. Sorry, if I sounded rude there, Spectra. It was just an id10t error. ;] |
