I know this is advanced Photoshop help, and this may seem like a newbie question, however I posted there already and as of yet have received no responses... so I figured I'd try here for *hopefully* a quick and painless response. My question is as follows:

When I try to print images at work for my boss, the images come out aligned to two sides of the paper (ie the top and left), and not centered... even when the "center image" option, etc.. are clicked.. I have tried to "change margins" but those areas are greyed out and uneditable... is there a trick to this or some sort of photoshop bug that I have to work around or what? Thanks in advance...

It's your printer, not Photoshop 7.0.

Try this: check your printer's properites or setup, see if you can click "maximize print area" - I've found more EPSON's offer it than HP's.

Otherwise, click off "center image" and manually do it on some cheap paper until you get a feel for your printer and where center actually is compared to where it appears on your print preview.

good luck - I feel your pain. This setting pisses me off daily.

Yeah I'm printing on a HP G85 OfficeJet Series printer... i'll look for a 'maximize' setting though I can't recall seeing one yet... thanks a lot for the quick reply!
