how do you make the vector effects that kid crackle used on his wallpaper of the super hero? very cool looking, any tutorials?

A pic wouldn't hurt, as I don't have a clue about any super hero wallpaper :S

I'm guessing pen tool and lasso tool.. a lil time, maybe even scan in a hand drawing as a reference

If you mean the characters in front. It looks like he might have hand drawn/colored them or at least traced over some pre-existing model work. You could try using image>adjustments>threshold on a picture of a person to achieve the effect, but I'd say that you won't get the same results using that method. As for the background. Its just random bits either done in PS or Illustrator and layered upon each other. No biggie. But since Kid Krackle is a board member here. Why don't you message him and ask him yourself? I'm certain he would know, if anybody. |

i think they are from poser and saved as .swf and then mixed with.

I have been looking for a tutorial on this as well, and found nothing. Does anyone know of any sites that might have a tutorial on this, or better yet, knows how to get this effect and can post guidelines? Would be much appreciated.

Well I do it all the time but I'm to lazy to write it down www.vectorize.de has a tutorial. click portfolio in the menu and then tutorial. It's not photoshop but you'll get the idea.. |
