Gah! I am looking for a tutorial I saw about 3 weeks ago. It wasn't on this site, but I am hoping there is someone here to help me. The tutorial explained how to take a long picture, and turn it into a type of miny "globe". I am sure I am not explaining it correctly, but it is the only way I can explain it. They used a long picture of either Aztek or Egyptian runes, and turned it into a little world. Anyone have any clue what I am talking about? If so, I would greatlu appreciate it. Thanks. |

U can actually do this yourself by pulling the anchors around the image and using a filter, but I forgot what teh filter name was

Sidez - I appreciate the suggestion but that was not the effect I was searching for. It was a bit more complex thatn that I believe. Spearize simply protrudes the image, whereas this tutorial I am in search of creates a miny world from the image. It circles it comepletly, and will have for example buildings sticking out of it.... once again I might not be making sense :P Thanks anyways though. |

I remember the tutorial was on a page that had a dark red layout.. can't remember the name at the moment :? The tutorial itself was simple. It goes something like this: make a new transparent image where x=y, then fill up the top 50% of the pic and apply the filter distort/polar coordinates.
