okay so I have this business card PSD @ 300dpi that I'm going to get printed tommorow
..
question is, what do I save it as ?
I saved it as a gif, but then it was like 7inches wide instead of 3.5 and when I shrink it down to the proper size it again looks stupid!
SOS

EPS or a TIFF @ 300DPI, CMYK will probably work...I would call the printer and ask them how they want it though first...

Hope this helps

usually printers have a sheet of formats and ways they like their files... you may also have to bring along your fonts.. unless you did it all in photoshop.
but save yourself the trip and call first.
:p

Yeah, TIFF or BMP 300DPI Works fine. You get the best result in the quality.

Your printer will supplie you waith a guiline for sending your file and proper format... These should include any image and font (just includea all your fonts no mather how popular they are).

I like to send small work (low number of pages) in a .pdf, since pdf include all images and fonts so you are sure not to forget anything. Just make sure to send it in press quality (or follow your printer guidline)

But this type of thing should be consider before you start working.
