Hello all. I've got a question. I've seen some of your wallpapers with some nice "fade to black" borders. Now i've tried to do that as well with my wallpaper, but no matter what i try i keep seeing those ugly borders. What i want is the borders of the two BF1942 pics in my pic to be faded to black so it looks like a part of the background. How do i do this?! This is my wallpaper : http://home.wanadoo.nl/radkill/BFdesktop.jpg |

Hi Its my first post here..so i dont know what you mean by "your wallpaper" ...:p You just need to creaet a new layer mask to the image you wanna fade out, than activate the mask by clicking its preview, than use the garient tool with black to with in order to hide a part of your image in a gardient way... you can you the adjustment manu to control the mask... Hope i got you Shay |

Click on the link and you know what i mean. ;) Can you plz be a little more specific?! You mean i can manually determine the level of "blackness" on the borders?! Because i've tried the method you're describing, but then i still see the borders of the image instead of being totally black like the background... Thnx |

Hi again.. yaaa.......actually...i dont control the "blackness"...you controlling the transparancy mask of the image. look...when you attach a layer mask to a layer you actually control its visabilty...when the mask contain black pixels the image is hidden where it contains a white pixels the image is reveal..and gray ..you can guss... so........the plane image should contain a mask that has a mask with a gardient black to white. ( i hope that you talking about layered image or less... :D ) try again 1.activate the layer that contains only the Airplan and add a vector mask to it. 2.make sure that you are working on a mask mode (the icon) 3.get the garient tool, set it to black to white, draw the ling from the buttom border up until the center of the image. here you gooo.... (i prepared a snapshoy of your image but i dont see how can i post it  ) Shay |

to post an image you first upload it to a webserver you have..... there are many free ones..... check the resources for those... and you post a link to the image......PLZ dont post the actual image in the forum becuz it will most likely mess up the dimensions..... hope this helps... |
