How to bring this effect ....

Can anybody give me tip/advise on how to bring this effect.

1. Get an image and make a grid over it.

2. Add a layer and place a square of whatever color in one of the squares the grid makes. Repeat this as many times as you like but put the colored boxes on it's own layer, and change the color of the boxes.

3. Now, just go to each layer and change the blending mode. Make each layer have different blending mode.

That should do it.
