I was just wondering, is wacom a good tablet for the price? I know nothing about graphic tablets and I am not by any means an artist, but is it a good tablet to start out on? I know it has 512 levels of pressure ( I hope I said that right) and 3048 LPI of resolution and that's about it. Any advice?

Get a Graphire2. It's $99 and comes with a mouse too. Pretty good.

Yes. A Wacom Graphire is fine for your needs.

Photoshop can only sense 255 levels of pressure anyway, so the lower priced Graphire tablets will suit anybody. As long as they don't have a need for a larger drawing space.

Check http://www.pricegrabber.com for the lowest prices on them.

Usually if software comes bundled, you can't buy a version without it. Bundled software doesn't usually add to the price of computer hardware anyway. So there's little reason to try to find a tablet without it.

As philpro68 sias there is no point to try to find it with out it... Photoshop LE should come on its own cd... it could make a nice gift for a firend or family!
