Im not exactly new to photoshop, but I am new to 7 (didnt use 6 either, I skipped up from 5.5) and have some questions. The line tool. Fine, its U now instead of L (I think; Ive already forgotten the old shortcuts) like before, that I can handle. I can even handle having to rasterize it when Im finished (but I would like it to not do that either, unless someone can explain to me the benefits). But how the heck do I make my lines un-antialiased? I cant for the life of me figure that out (simple as it my sound). Next question: Ive got an action that lets me stroke whatever is selected with the foreground color at 1 pixel, and then automatically deselects it. Problem is, in PS 7 it doesnt stroke it with the foreground color; instead, it changes my foreground color to white and strokes with white. Every single time. Whats up? Thanks for any help you can give me... |

To make your lines un-antialiased you can just take the pencil tool (B), click once on the canvas from where you'd like to start, hold shift and click on the place you'd like the line to end. Take brush size 1 or bigger but don't make them soft edged.

Before anything, have the Options toolbar open, Window>Show Options. In the left side of the options toolbar, there is a set of 3 buttons. The right-most button should be the "Fill Pixels" button, click that. Uncheck the anti-aliased box on the right side of the options toolbar. I guess you can just remake that action, I'm not sure. But I believe the action is set to what color you used when you made the action, regardless of the Foreground color. :o |
