Hey. everyone once in a wihle, i'll open photoshop to find all my settings have been erased, such as which scratch disk to use, how many files in the history, and what palettes are open. Is there a way to save settings in a file, so i can load them, and be happy again? thanks

yeah, that is checked, but every once in a while, the layer locations, and all my personalized settings are lost. There is no way to save all my settings in some file i can just load to restore?

no.. not really. are u on a mac or PC? on a mac the file that deals with that.. sometimes needs to get trashed when the machine acts up. so is hard to keep. i can dig it.. but it shouldnt happen unless you purposely trashed the prefrerences yourself. which i doubt you did... and what "BlueBalance" was talking about only covered the location of your palettes not the actual prefs. themselves. |

yeah, i'm on a PC... you're right, i didn't personally trash the file... i am not sure why it does what it does. I guess I'll just be forced to reset everything when this happens. Thanks both of you for the replies.
