I'm sure this is a very simplistic question. But I recently started using ps7. Where are the cut and paste options. Like when I make a selection, how do I just cut it from an image, and paste it in another one? |

Those options are under the "Edit" menu, but I never use them, I always use keyboard shortcuts. BUT...contrary to xchanin's advise, I'd COPY (Command/CTRL-C) then PASTE(Command/CTRL-V). If you CUT (Command/CTRL-X), you'll be removing it from the original image. It's smarter to leave the original intact by copying the selected area instead. |

I'm making an educated guess that UnScrypted naively used the terms "Cut and Paste" generically, and in a way inconsistent with what s/he actually wants to do. After all, this person is a self-admitted newbie, and it takes awhile to get on the same page with more experienced users, even in the area of just knowing the accepted terminology common to generally recognised standard operating procedures. There's really no advantage to cutting something out of an original image if one only wants to use that object in a completely different document. Copy is the way to go here. |

Im not sure id you want to move an image frm a loyer to another or simply bring a slection ouline to another layer... In case you only wiah to bring you sletion outiline to another layer the answer is simple... A selection outline is not lnked to a layer... so just keep you slection active and slect another layer to work on... |

Well. Delisk does happen to live in Montreal. Which is the 2nd largest French speaking population outside of France. I'm assuming he doesn't quite understand English, or at least well enough to write it. I doubt its for irritation.
