Hi Cyber friends! I have problems with blending 3D pictures(w/ black blackground) into another 2D picture with alpha channels in that 3D picture. Everytime I try to copy and paste under LOAD Selection, i get the 3D picture stuck with the black background or totally white with no picture when paste onto the 2D picture. How do i rectiy this problem? I want to paste the 3D picture(minus the black background) to blend into 2D picture. Do I have to play around with the channels? need Help on alpha channels and blending. Thanks Edmund |

does your 3d picture have its own alpha channel? if it does. go into Channels. and command/control+click on the alpha layer and then you can drag the image with its alpha selected. |

Hi! What if my 3D picture does not have Alpha channel? Is it possible to paste the 3D picture without the background(black) accompanied with it? Is there anyway I can separate the background of the 3D picture to paste it on the 2D picture? Like some explode command or something? Edmund |

3D Studio Max I know allows you to save an alpha channel when you save off an image as a TIFF. If your render did not include an alpha channel, the only way to get the image out of the background and leave transparent edges is to cut/mask it out using photoshop's masking tools. |

Max renders Targas as well. and they keep alpha channels as well. few questions. 1. Are these 3D models you made? 2. what is an explode command? |
