I'd like to make my own brushes and textures in Photoshop 6 but I have no idea how to do it. I get to the define custom brush stuff but it only makes veugly rounded brushes for me. Can anyone help? I'm sure its easy enough once you know how to do it. I just don't.

I have a load of images I'd like to make into brushes too, can anyone help me, please. Its quite frustrating!!

Are you sure you aren't using the pencil tool?

Thanks for the help. Its PS6 and I will be getting PS7 in a few weeks so how to do this is any one of them would be gold to me!!

Thanks for your help.

Oh and I'm a bit dim so a step by step guide would be v v useful.

I did open PS 7 just now and opened up a photo. Took the marqee tool and did a li'l marqee over an eye. Went Edit >Define Brush, entered a Brushname and then closed everything.

Opened up an other pic, choose the brushtool and browsed down the list of brushes and there my li'l eye was...

Is this what ya mean 'cuz if isn't i don'r know what you're after...

Okidoki, bye bye...

Yeah, thats what I was after. I managed to work out what I was doing wrong in the end. I wasn't giving it anything to make into a brush. I wasn't highlighting ordefining anything and then wondering why it wasn't letting me choose the option of define brush!! *doh!* Silly me. Thanks for all your help!!

:D
