I am using quickmask in removing redeye and since the mask color and the red of the eye are almost identical it seems that changing the masking color to something like lime green would be helpful. I am unable to do this. Can it be done? Anyone have a suggestion for me? Thanks for the direction.

don't use quick mask ... select all the red in the eye the hi [CTRL]+[U] -- select colorize, and adjust colors till the red in the eye matches the rest of the color

Thanks page12- your idea works fine. I still need to know how to change the masking color if only to just " add another arrow to my quiver " of Photoshop 7. Any other thoughts ??

I found it! DUH , just double -click on the quickmask icon and the option to change color pops up.

Funny you should mention Lime Green....that's the color I use, because for the work I do, I rarely ever encounter anything that a Lime Green mask doesn't work on. I also use it for my Out-of-gamut indicator color in CMYK preview. |

Just as with almost everything else in media production, bright green is seldom seen in anything. Good choice.

Green is the color that isn't in human skin as much as blue and red. So that's why they use green screens not blue or red.
