Hi, I'm trying to make a good looking background effect for my banner. I'm trying to make something along the lines of what this background is like: http://www.pixeljunction.com/forum/images/header.jpg So anyone know how I can make this sort of image effect and what I would need to do? I would really appreciate anyones help . |

Well the answers are too numerous to go into, but the stock answer you will get is - use lots of layers, gaussian blurs, motion blurs, zoom, soft light, overlay etc. Get hold of a load of pictures with bright, candescent light sources and dark backgrounds, use these as a start point for your design. Dodge, burn to you hearts contents. Experimenting will be the key (sounds f*c* all help but I promise it is) |

Thanks for the image-edit, there sidefx. Horizontal scrolling is the spawn of the devil and a sure sign of a coming apocalypse. |
