After talking with pank, I've been playing with / researching Mambo as a content management system. I've got almost all the modules I want loaded (don't need many)--I'm still thinking about an 'events' calendar, but haven't decided. I'm going to see how easy it is to template the front end next. Here's the test build >>> http://www.pentopaper.org/test70 I've messed with XOOPS, Exp Engine, and WordPress in the past. It'd be kewl to have one back-end that could meet all my needs--we'll see if this is it. ~Dan |

OMG!!!! I'm an imbicile!!! I show the above to Dek and he was like, "Windows XP"... What an idiot I am... Lion of Judah must be right, I do eat bugs. That is just horrific. I'm sooooooo embarrassed. I quickly did a little hacking and updated it to >>> http://www.pentopaper.org/test70/P2P-V7c.jpg and quickly sent it off to the client (pro bono, so who cares anyways)! |

Not sure about that shade of gray. Mabye even a very off white may work better with that type of blue??

Yeah, I'm not sure about it either, pank. I'm not sure how the 'medium grey' will work with content on it. May not work well with black or white text. I'll play with lightening it up, I might put a little of the blue in it as well... I've already sliced this up, so I may just finish the layout and then change it.

Okay, I lightened up the grey and tinted it slightly. I'm having a nuisance with the table with the image above the main navigation in IE... sigh.... IE. http://www.pentopaper.org/test70 And when I add padding to the cells, it whacks the tables as well. I may have to nest tables on the side navigation areas to pull in the content. I don't know if it's an issue with the way Mambo is rendering the dynamic content, or what. |

I'd say that looks better but it still may look a little better with a "white"ish" color?? Not sure but definitely better than before
